First GMA seems to try to reduce Amma's work to "just giving hugs", and reduce the followers to "just wanting a hug". It's promoted by this large media because the precepts that Amma likely follows and promotes are unpalatable to the consumerist mass of viewers. They also managed to throw in a pitch for the minuscule "Judaism" (for Gerald Levin?).

Its okay that these interviewers are taking this track. Amma would not mind, as you see, she smiles, laughs with them and continues on. It is alright, really. At least they are not being negative although it is a shame they didn't do their research and acknowledge that most of the money accumulated actually ends up in the hands of those it is meant to assist (unlike many traditional charities).

what a stupid question. It shows how ignorant (agyani) the people are about the "understanding" of Truth. They consider Amma as a individual where as her body is one of the bodies on earth which is "self stabilized"

Here in Santa Fe, New Mexico the Amma Ashram gives out bean burrito lunches with some chips and baby carrots and a juice box and a desert every Sunday at the Salvation Army. I have been eating them because I haven't been able to get work. It's the only love I get on a weekly basis. Thank you Amma Chi! I love you.

Her charity has donated 35 million dollars to tsunami victims, one million to victims in NewOrleans, she feeds clothes and educates orphans in India

If she really taking the money for herself, why would she sleep an average of 2 hrs/day and her rest of the time mostly hugging people. The money her organizatoin makes go for charities around the world. She is not a con artist like many around the world.
