I have also the Tytn II running WM 6.1 and don't have any problems at all. I have tested SCLPC++ 3D cube interface that is based on OpenGL and it runs smooth. No problems with scrolling or camera function. Hence, those of you who has problems should try to upgrade the software at HTC website

I think there might be a problem with my Tytn, I just got it yesterday but I've already noticed when watching Youtube videos the sound quality is very very poor, its fuzzy and it sounds as though the speaker is actually broke, however when i listen to music it's fine, so just wondering if anyone else has had this problem?
Thanks

I don't understand you people. I'm running videoclips on my ATT Tilt (TyTnII) right now and I have NO LA WHATSOEVER> I don't know what kind of setups you running but I'm totally satisfied. The video is actually smoother than it was on my late Samsung SCH i730. Believe me or not. My 2 cents.

Yeah, like i said before my phone plays videos fine, even flash video's that are well above 640 by 480. Not just in tcpmp (the free version of coreplayer) but wmv's on windows media player.
Btw the camera and video recorder problem is solved by putting the phone into sleep mode for a few seconds and waking it up again.
Its obviously going to be slower still if this is through some remote control recording application like Soti Pocket Controler. Wouldn't it more more fair to have a video of actual device playing a video?

Yup, it does slow down the framerate (i'd say about 20% slower or so) but as you clearly can see in this video this is not an issue of getting 24 instead of 30 fps. It's rather about getting any fps at all.

You are correct in saying that the TYTN2 can't play this video with directdraw, but use GDI in TCMP and it should play ok, I've watched documentaries and films on my kaiser and it's good. Still think they should have done the drivers though, for the camera and those who want to do games.

I've used GDI and Raw Frame Buffer as well, while it's better it's still not good. (Leaving one with the option to reencode the files.)
Still the point is moot since many players don't have an option but rather use DirectDraw by default. Also using GDI isn't really an option for gaming. So the problem is still there and we still need proper drivers for GDI, GAPI, Direct3D Mobile, Open GL ES and so forth.

Poor video performance on HTC TyTN II due to the lack of hardware acceleration through any generic interface (such as DirectDraw) is VERY evident when watching a full sized video clip such as this (XviD at a fairly low bitrate at 512x384 with MP3 sound.
