My mom used to be in charge of the "gate" at Headquarters...we lived in the house there for about two years. The rails ran right by my bedroom! The caboose guy would often trade me something out of his lunch or give me a dime for something out of our garden as they always went quite slowly there. Good times.

I grew up next to the trestle by Carnival market, and saw those yellow SW1200s pass my house from 1966 till i moved out in 1985!!!!

that is waste going to the landfill, not returning...its not "garbage" waste, its the waste out of the boilers...

This is the trash train returning from teh landfill at Headquarters.
The line is now shut down past Headquarters. Weyerhaeuser has closed the Green Mountain mill.

This line runs from Weyerhaeuser's Green Mountain Mill in Toutle, Washington to thier in Longview Mill in Longview, Washington. If you go to wikipedia's website (I hope I spelled that write) and type in Columbia & Cowlitz Railroad Company, you will be able to find out more about this line. I frequently post videos of UP and BNSF trains on the Seattle Subdivision so make sure to subscribe to my channel.
