About Face is the second solo album by the Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour, released in March 1984. The album was co-produced by Bob Ezrin and David Gilmour. Two songs, "All Lovers Are Deranged", and the more radio-friendly "Love on the Air" were co-written by Gilmour, who composed the music, and his longtime friend, Pete Townshend of The Who, who served as lyricist. The remainder of the songs are credited solely to Gilmour himself Some of the musicians working with Gilmour were Jeff Porcaro, Pino Palladino, Deep Purple keyboardist Jon Lord, Roy Harper, Michael Kamen (who also worked on Waters' album, The Pros and Cons of Hitch Hiking), Sam Brown and Steve Winwood

  • @satchizgod

Huh?!? Did we watch the same performance?

  • Nailed the Bass Solo !

  • I was a Pink Floyd fan long before I ever even knew the names of the guys in the group. Back then, I bought my albums on cassette tapes. Any liner notes were too small to actually read. In 1984, a co-worker turned me on to an extra ticket to Gilmour's "About Face" concert at The Greek Theater in Berkeley, CA. LOL....I had NO clue who he was until he started playing "Money" & a few other PF tunes. Shameful!!!! (...Of course, I was going thru my "stoner" phase at the time also...)

  • David Gilmour not playing the solo ! :|

  • @tweedledumb The GREAT Pino Palladino composed the bassline. He was the bassist in the John Mayer Trio amongst many other ensembles and tours with the very best rock and jazz fusion players. I'm just wondering who this bass player is. Anyone know?

  • @roinestolt it's on his solo album, wel the 2nd one he did. Amazing bass solo :)

  • fantastic, I didn,t know this song. Wonderful
