  • Thanks for posting. The 650 is 10 times that of the 550. But do yourselves a favor buy one machine for each caliber that you load often. If you go from a large pistol caliber to say a 223rem on a 650, it is a huge pain in the ass. This guy is really good at changing this stuff. Better than I ever was. I got fed up and bought a row of machines. Problem solved.

By the way how much better is a 1050 than a 650?

  • The 1050 is a machine that is not often made to change size. The 650 is for those who recharge several sizes. I will buy an AR15 in March (not cool ITAR is hell to import something legal way). I reload the 223 on my 650. I will try to find the KISS system.

  • The Kiss system is not kiss( keep it simple .......) Another thing it is expensive for 1 caliber when we reload to save money and bullets are getting more expensive

  • It is true that things are more expensive. A large part of my salary goes in this passion. The recharge is to save money. The KISS system saves time. The cost of this device is justified if there was large quantities of ammunition to reload

  • it is possible to increase the pace of 650 with the KISS system. video available on YOUTUBE

  • hello greg78x

I board the 650. the 550 is fine, but the rotation of the shell plate this done manually. risk of a double burden. the 650 is made for those who have several arms.

  • I have both the 650 and 550. to change over to a difference primer size, the 550,you have to remove the primer housing to change the slide out, the 650 is a little bit more, as you seen here, but either is that bad once you it a couple of time. I perfer the 650 over the 550, less problem with the 650, the 650 self indexing, case feeding, powder checking, 5 holes, but not as good of primer drop than 550. on bullet feeding try to install a lee bullet feeder it does work, lots cheaper

  • wow that is a lot of work to switch calibers. yikes. The RCBS Pro 2000 is looking like a better option.

  • Thanks for the Reply; I do shoot a lot of different rifle and pistols. I do like the auto indexing of the 650 and the greater round/hr that can be made.

  • I am VERY new to reloading and was looking at the Dillen 550B, is the 650 worth the $100 more? I will buy one or the other and I do shoot a lot.
