Yes both WPA and WPA2 work. As long as you follow my guide.

It seems to work, but KDE 4 has no fingerprint function yet. I'm sure they'll implement that with 4.3 or 4.4.

Works fine with the latest nvidia beta drivers

No it's Debian. The howto guide is mostly applicable to Ubuntu as well.

Is fingerprint working for you?
I've installed OpenSUSE 11.1, but fingerprint is not working, there are no drivers.

There is now a full howto guide for getting the fingerprint reader working. Click 'more info' on the video and follow the link, then on my howto guide look for 'Fingerprint Reader'

I really want the 256mb vram which my Eee PC1000 can't perform well enough without but the screen is the possible blocker for me, I"ve heard it's really reflective.. is it too reflective for outdoor use?

The 1000 has a matte screen. This has a glossy screen so it's a no-go for outdoor use. Sorry :(
