  • Great job by Daltrey of holding back. If he'd wanted to he could have knocked the roof off. The restraint adds to the taughtness of the performance.

  • This is from August 1987, marking the tenth anniversary of Elvis' death. Also on the show were Kim Wilde, Boy George, Kiki Dee, Meat loaf, Ruby Turner, Carl Perkins, Ben E King, Dave Edmunds, Elkie Brookes, and many others. The long production was called Love Me Tender.
