@bradgandy02 Mandi lost in the finals, BTW.

@Derubis420 More like a "Which wire to cut?" movie scene!

Bryn2k - i am sorry to burst your bubble but the first show to offer a million pound as a cash prize on UKTV was TFI friday in 1995 (one year before who wants to be a millionaire started!)

Not making fun of Jeopardy! UK or anything, just saying, but as my opinion, if I was on that show, the Jeopardy UK! Final Jeopardy theme will just get me more nervous as the song's pitch gets higher. The Jeopardy! US version is more soothing. Maybe if I was British I would get used to it more but I'd still say I'd like Jeopardy! US's Think Theme more, as my opinion.

@KingsIndianCR Ohhhh, hadn't thought of that lol, I guess you don't have to worry about taxes either :P

@StaraptorEmpoleon Don't forget that this is 1993, so you also need to take inflation into account.

Wow... they get a lot less money in our Jeopardy and they bet a lot more than that too!
-
Wait, they don't win the money but a prize instead? That's awfully cheap. Then again, a high score of 700 quid seems pretty low, even to this bloke from across the pond.
lol this final jeopardy music is hilarious! am i supposed to think or be in a movie chase scene?

The problem why Jeopardy! bombed in the UK was the IBA's top prize limits - in this country broadcasters were restricted until the mid-90s as to what cash value prize could be given away. A notable example of this being breached, with permission, was the $64,000 Question, which had a top prize of £6,400.
It was Who Wants To Be A Millionaire that broke the mould and allowed megabucks. Jeopardy! could well work today with a decent host.
