Hey Zhin, I need help with defending against the screen pass. I played against the colts and all he did for 6 times in a row was screen pass all the way to a touchdown. Can you give me a couple of defensive suggestions for it?

do you read the safeties after the snap or just pre-play because its really tough to read them and still keep up with your recievers position...

It's according to what I do pre-snap but generally the best order is to read the LBs first and then the secondary.

wat do u mean by linebackers line out

Linebacker "align out" is when the LB aligns right infront of their respective assignment before the snap. This doesnt mean that the defense is in a man. It just means that the defense maybe aligning themselves for better coverage versus the run or the pass.

What happens when you don't have anything? Do you force something thrown towards the ground?

Get out of the pocket and throw it away or, even, take the sack. You'd rather have the ball and another down to work with instead of forcing a throw that leads to an interception.
