This is about the cruel and inhumane treatment of the detainees in Guantanamo Bay. Not only are they arrested without any sustainable evidence of "terrorism," the detainees are denied basic human rights and prisoner of war status as spelled out by the Geneva Accords. They are denied writ to habeus corpus, fair trial, contact with their families, outside information; sometimes, they are deprived of sleep and food.

**The images shown of the tortured detainees are from the prison Abu Graihb, and these methods of torture are said to have originated from Guantanamo Bay.**


Help Amnesty International shut down Guantanamo Bay!

if you compare the way we treat them after being captured to how they treat us when they capture us, they might as well be at Disneyland (comparatively). Also, the geneva convetion only applies to uniformed combatants, not terrorists

i live 50 miles from manhattan, I know people that have died by the actions of scumbag terrorists. You are extremely naive if you think these guys are innocent and were put there without reason. These people are being treated in EXACTLY the same way as we secret family court torture victims are.

No fair trial, psychological torture to break us down, the same.

They do not water board us (there are other methods they use on women and children that are more subtle) but they try to destroy us just the same.

I am glad they tortured me though. I would never have believed the evil my own country could do, had I not experienced it first hand.
