  • Brilliant !

    Gives Wakeman a caning !

Very similar to Emerson don't you think ?

  • More than likely they were both inspired by the same musicians and pianists.

  • There was a while where you could pay Patrick to play a concert in your home...he was touring around the U.S. and doing these very up-close and personal concerts. I wonder how much video footage there is of those performances?

  • Good question. I'll ask him! We'll eventually find out though as people with any video footage of him from those shows discover YouTube and figure out how to upload their own clips. Footage I taped of him was taped mostly in a club, but he also did a few in home and other public appearances around that time. Two remarkable times in particular where I wish I had the portable camera I have now.

  • One time he sat at a hotel lobby piano and began accompanying the ambient sounds - AC hum, desk phone, elevator bells, horns outside. Haunting. The second time was at a coffee shop where a blues band began to play sans bass player, so the music lacked bottom. I conviced the band leader to invite Patrick up to play bass lines on the Hammond organ. Once he began playing, the improvement was immediate. While soloing, the band members just shook their heads in amazement.

  • Apparently keith Emerson and Rick Wakeman are more known, but why ? Patrick Moraz is the missing third, one of the most important keyboard figure of the seventies and beyond. He knows how to mix classical with rock, blues or jazz. no problem for him, enjoy!

  • He is doing a solo piano version of 'the story of i'

  • He looks like Johann Sebastian Bach.... same hair, same face

  • Great
