This social guidance "how-to" film has received more camp accolades than any other, and deserves it. Alan Woodruff ("Woody") receives a ticket to admit one couple to the upcoming Hi-Teen Carnival. "One couple," Woody reflects. "That means a date! Not like just going around with the crowd!" Woody decides to ask Ann Davis, who, the narrator points out, "knows how to have a good time." With her perpetual squint and chipmunk cheeks, Ann (pronounced "Ay-yun" by the actors in this film) is the perfect companion for super-nerd Woody. At crucial moments in the date, the narrator stops the action and presents Woody with several possible options for his actions. Happily, Woody makes all the correct decisions and ends up walking home from Ann's doorstep whistling with satisfaction at a job well done. "Thanks so much," says Ann with a toothy grin. "I had LOADS of fun." Rare (but incomplete) Kodachrome version.

  • that boy is innocent..too innocent....and his name should be a don't

  • 5:56 with transcribe audio on - the tune she's humming is 'you jewshy, you'

  • omnomnomnom COTTON CANDY

  • this is so adorable!

  • @mkrudop2011 no, he didn't pick Ann because she looked plain and made him feel superior, he picked her because she was nice and made other people feel happy and didn't give herself airs.

  • CC + Transcribe Audio = hilarity

  • this is hysterical! I think it's funny how they immediately disregard the pretty one, because she could make a boy feel inferior, so stick to Ann...she seems not to pretty, and not too ugly, and just right to make a boy feel good about himself. Oh, and the girl can't make the first move, that's just scandalous!

  • If he misses the balloons, that means he'll probably miss my vagina.

  • hahaha, i busted out laughing @ 11:21

  • I wish i had his hair.
