The first and the biggest international city is now developing. The 260 hectares new town development is just 7 kilometres North West of the city of Phnom Penh. This development will soon be the icon of Phnom Penh. It is situated between the National Road 5 and Russia Boulevard, heading to National Road 4. It has an easily accessed from or to city centre, Which the location is only 15 minutes from the Phnom Penh International Airport and 15 minutes from Wat Phnom, the city landmark the city centre.

This integrated new town will consists house as many as over 4,000 households comprising of villas, apartments, shophouses , office buildings, shopping centres, hotel, school, hospital, sport and leisure areas, and an 18 -- holes golf course and with a Driving Range, and many more.

This new town development project is a joint development between of Ciputra Group - Indonesia and YLP Group - Cambodia. Furthermore, this project has fully obtained the Master Plan approval from the authority of Phnom Penh Municipality dated August 9th, 2006, to develop the integrated new town project.

This integrated Grand Phnom Penh International City is planned to be developed with important facilities for the family with international life style. An international standard school will provide quality education to the children. World-class hospital facilities ensure quality medical care for the whole family residents of the new town and the surroundings. Shopping centres are conveniently located near the neighbourhood areas to provide for various family necessities as alternatives for business and family travellers.

In addition, inside this new town development, Grand Phnom Penh Golf Course will be constructed. The golf course will create a green ambience for the residential & commercial area.

Entertainment facilities include 18 -- holes of International Standard Golf Course designed by Nicklaus Design, - a world famous golf designer company, and a complete with a Club House designed by Peddle Thorp International, Australia.

Infrastructures and utilities include roads, drainage system, electricity, water supplies and telephone lines with underground system designed by Surbana International Consultant Pte. Ltd, Singapore

The environment will be enriched by vast gardens, friendly pedestrians, greeneries, children's playgrounds and beautiful landscaping, and Initial Environmental Social Impact Assessment Study done by, C-Pro Ecology Co., Ltd, Phnom Penh Cambodia.

The residential areas incorporate a gated cluster system of 200-300 units per cluster. This concept will provide privacy, safety and comfortable environment for the people. Every cluster will be facilitated with garden for community gathering, and children play ground. Convenient pedestrian path along the green and flowery road network bring the neighbourhood a convenient, healthy and safety activities.
At present the development offers over 10 types of landed houses, from the smallest unit of 140 m2 in land size to the biggest land size of 600m2. Each type of houses is specifically designed to provide the ideal standard of living. Maximizing natural lights and ventilation which will make the house environmentally friendly and energy efficient. Skylight in smaller unit brings the natural light inside the house and an internal garden blending the exterior and interior space, providing the flexibility for room arrangement.

    Hopefully you're doing good living in Phnom Penh. It's got to be tough living in Cambodia. Sorry that you had to move from Tennessee to Cambodia and for the pain and suffering that you went through. I wish you the best.
