  • Thanks for sharing! What kind of foot is that? Could I use a regular foot and still get a good result?

  • @inkedflamingo I used an open toed applique foot, but you can use any foot that allows a zig zag stitch - I have another that came with my machine that has a clear plastic front, also helpful to see where you're going.

  • so, silly question... is the 'satin stitch' and zig-zag the same thing?

  • @dennymanda Yes, it's the same thing. Satin Stitch was originally a hand embroidery stitch. When machines came along, the zig zag stitch was used to recreate that same look. Never a silly question!

  • how does your machine automatically lift the foot when turning? I'm guessing not all machines have this feature
