  • Harry Kalas was a man of "high hopes" he always believed in the the phillies through thick and thing. He never doubted them and loved then with all his heart. Just as we do with him. The phillies are going to win another world series just for Harry because he beleived in them through his life. Rest in piece Hary Kalas For generations you will be here.

  • Philadelphia and all of baseball lost a legendary broadcaster and an incredible human being.. RIP harry you will always be in our memories and hearts

  • I shed many tears when Harry left us.

I will shed more at Harry's memorial service at Citizens Bank Park on 4/18/09 - I plan to dress like Whitey did, too.

I will shed even more on 4/20/09 as I have tix in Section 420 for that game vs. the Padres.

However, since Harry called all of Mike Schmidt's home runs, I'd like to point to a bit of trivia:

What does Mike Schmidt and Philly's City Hall have in common?

A number - 548. The height of City Hall - and Schmidt's home run total!

  • phillies games will never be the same

  • RIP Harry. You'll be missed. Philadelphia Phillies baseball will never be the same.

  • thank you harry for everything you did for the phils and we will always have "High Hopes"

  • It will never be the same. He lead us in 'High Hopes' At least he died doing what he loved. Rest in Peace.
