競売台にのせられ、(白人に)競りにかけられるのは
もうたくさんだ。
何千という人(黒人)が、連れて行かれた。 （オデッタ）


アフリカからアメリカに連れてこられた黒人が
呻くように歌ったトラディショナルソング。
1950年代に女性黒人フォークシンガー：オデッタが
ニューヨーク・グリニッジ・ヴィレッジのカフェで歌っていた。
その後、ボブ・ディランも歌い継ぎ
やがて、Blowin' in the Windが生まれた。


２００９年、米国では
アフリカ系アメリカ人のバラク・オバマ氏が
米国大統領に就任。

オバマ氏と同じ1961年年生まれの北條不可思は
平和（原爆）教育を受けて育った。

この２曲に平和への深い願いを心に刻みつつ
国内外各地で歌い続けている。


コンサートでは、必ず『ノーモア・オークション』
『ブローイン』そして自ら書いた日本語詩を合わせて歌う。
その理由は、「過ちを繰り返す　涙の河を超えて」の
一節に、集約されている。
その深化を聞いて頂き
是非 思いを馳せていただきたい。
