I believe the genre you are looking for is Hard Trance. This track followed Hennes & Cold - The Second Trip (Scott Project Mix), which was a pioneering track of Hard Trance.. the great precursor of shitty hardstyle :-)

@MAssBlackbird That still does not make it HS. It's the foundation of the track, as they say. Hennes & Cold, derb, Scot project, and all those producers from Tracid Traxxx Produced Hard trance /Acid AND NEVER HS. Tracid (trance & Acid) Simple.

Tracks don't go from being Hard trance to hardstyle just because Hardstyle is different now and a lot of people don't realise that. When hardstyle just copyed a mixture of hard house, and Gabber the producers actually didnt change much until 02 or so.
