@HTTS76 because that's the breed standard. they crop the ears for appearence but it also helps them hear better & keep the ear canal dry so they dont get infections. you do it as puppies so they dont feel it as much & heal faster much like we do with children and their tonsels, and nobody says thats "cruel" or "inhumain".
