USS New York WTC Steel Built Ship - Close up view

Footage of the November 2, 2009 arrival of the USS New York that has been built with the steel collected from the world trade center terrorist attack on September 11, 2001.

- The New York, Navy ship built with WTC steel, arrives in New York City November 2, 2009.

- The New York, made with 7.5 tons of steel from the wrecked World Trade Center,

- The ship, a San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock, has a crew of 360 - including dozens of New Yorkers.

- The bow of the $1 billion ship was forged with steel recovered from the rubble at Ground Zero.

- One of its main missions is to transport Marines - it can carry an entire battalion and their equipment, including a 38-ton amphibious assault vehicle, landing craft and an MV-22 Osprey aircraft.

@jakeblack1982 Ohio Class? the last Ohio Battleship was built in 1904 and decomissioned in 1922, and was a pre-dreadnought type BB.. your thinking the Iowa class Battleships that were built in the late 30's and early 40's (there was going to be a USS Ohio that would have been part of the USS Montana class BB's that would have been the most powerful BB's ever built, and designed to go head to head with the Japanese Battleships of the Yamato class.

@megadog200 there's not TLAM's (Tomahawk cruise missiles) onboard a troop transport like the USS New York, those are for Cruisers/Destroyers and submarines.
