A demo of the difference between connecting the Stay Alive capacitor for a Soundtraxx Tsunami TSU-1000 decoder between the REDand BLUE wires, using two 8,000 uF 80 Volt capacitors in parallel for a total of 16,000 uFs by where the lco's fuel tank ended up compared to the Orange Pin Head. While these size capacitors and this amount of capacitance are impossible to fit into HO locos, it shows the difference of the amount of MOTOR Stay Alive between the two connections. When the Stay Alive is connected beteen the RED and BLACK wires, I witnessed SOME Stay Alive for the motor as the loco always stopped at the same place (edge of the tape), whereas when I hd NO Stay Alive connected to the RED and Black, the loco hesitated and jerked regularly as the second bogie crosses the tape from dirty whhels and track. There is SOME Stay Alive for the RED and Black but nowhere near the amount for the BLUE and BLACK wires..
