LONDON RIOTS: DARCUS HOWE (The BBC will never replay this) THE PROPER VIDEO COPY

A contentious and awkward exchange between Darcus Howe, a writer and broadcaster and the BBC anchor Fiona Armstrong on the morning of 9th August 2011. Howe was speaking from Croydon

Armstrong asks Howe a leading question: "Are you shocked by what you've seen there last night?" Howe says he isn't: "Our political leaders had no idea, our police had no idea. But if you looked at young blacks and young whites with a discerning eye and a careful hearing, they have been telling us, and we would not listen that what is happening in this country to them is wrong."

Howe is then effectively dumped mid-interview by the BBC anchor, who appears to try and discredit him by saying he has had a history of rioting himself. It is embarrassing to watch. Howe is clearly offended and the interview finally come to an end with Howe asking the anchor to "have some respect for an old West Indian Negro."

This whole interview demonstrates, at least for me, the gulf that exists between the reality of hopelessness on the streets and the haughty high-mindedness of State institutions

@mark24374 Power Hungry Police...The government is so afraid of becoming a police state that they let the Criminals rule the streets. It wouldn't matter if it was a police state as long as the right government was in charge. But anyway, the west is declining indefinitly and WILL collapse unless Nationalists or National Socialists take control and pull us back from the brink.
