Banshee in the Kitchen plays a set from their first and live albums: Planxty Catharsis, which is "Planxty Drew" by O'Carolan, and "Catharsiis" by modern composer Amy Kann. Playing through the house systems: Bose L1 Model II with Tonematch technology.

  • @UK2AK, thanks! It was truly a wonderful experience to play at the Mother Ship.... the room designed by the same folks who designed the L1 system!

  • GREAT post. I love how the Bose amplification keeps everything sounding so clean and organic, while balancing out the 3 acoustic instruments very well.

    Excellent musicianship. Great clip.

  • Sure. It's from 17th century harpist Turlough O'Carolan (Toirdhealbhach Ó Cearbhalláin, 1670 25 March 1738).

  • Thanks for introducing me to "Planxty Drew"...what an interesting tune.
