Hmm, I must applaud all of you for the most part, for not 2nd guessing a fireground operation from your armchair...I was always taught that if you have a basement fire, the next thing you better be checking is the attic, due to how the fire travels up the walls. Any EDUCATED thoughts or opinions are welcome!

@BADASSED88 LOL, oh.... I am not the sharpest tool in the shed
-
if i'm not mistaken the ladder truck is always at most fires not that they alway use the highrise ladder it self they are used for extra manpower
-
@mabas21 no not you i meant army rescue, i completely agree with what u said
-
@BADASSED88 Bash the fire department, better re-read those comments. I have never nor would I bash a fire department, especially Gary....
-
@ArmyRescue2 where i live we use ground ladders for 2 story buildings so you talking about needing a tower ladder soo much is redundant...
-
@mabas21 why would you bash the fire dept. maybe instead of you (armyrescue) talking shit you should have just asked why there was no tower ladder...were i live all we use is ground ladders there are only a few times out of the year that we use our tower ladder's tower.
-one proud probie

My previous comment was aimed at things in general and not particularly at this video. I just get sick of seeing comments of how people would have done it better etc.. Hind sight is a great thing. It seems to be the same people making comments on how great they are and how bad everyone else is. When people do make real mistakes I'm sure they know themselves without idiots making stupid comments.. especially when everyone has made mistakes themselves... think before you speak please people!!

Who has ever been to a house fire where everything has gone 100% to plan or where the training was done 100% correctly every time!!! In the heat of the moment (excuse the pun) sometimes things get overlooked or situations require that you adapt to meet them... Everyone does the best they can at that time..Yes some people do make mistakes but with the best of intentions!!! People make mistakes constantly..that is how you become experienced..by making those mistakes and learning from them..

@NeverRestOneDayx I could not agree more and thank you for the comment. I am guessing some of these people just have no clue or only see 1-2 fires a year. I love seeing the comments when they just have no clue, especially if they are not there to see what the circumstances are. I guess it's easy to hide behind a user name and computer screen. All I can say is come to Gary and try it on for size. Thanks again and enjoy the videos!
@ArmyRescue2 What are you talking about, I wasn't there... How do you think shot the video??? There was no need for a truck/ladder. Do you throw the stick in the air for every structure fire? I have seen thousands of fire scenes where a ladder was not used or needed. Ground ladders were more than enough at this scene

@ArmyRescue2 OK, I am done dealing with a complete idiot. I was a firefighter for 7 years and I got hurt , numbnuts. So believe it or not I do know what I am talking about. There were over 20 firefighters, battalion chiefs, and a safety officer on the scene that felt there was not a need for a ladder or felt it was not safe to set one up. So the way I view this, is you are the only jackass that felt there was a need for a ladder. You are one of those assholes who thinks everyone is wrong but you
