My Feelings On Alien 3 and Resurrection

Alien and Aliens were two classic movies that I enjoyed a lot. Then came Alien 3, which was a dull dry sequel that really disappointed me. To make matters worse was the next movie, Alien Resurrection, was even worse. The last two movies of the main Alien series (I'm not counting the mediocre AVP) depressed me so much that I started to sing one of my favorite breakup songs and now I've made a video about it, I even make a small cameo in this video.

I first was planning to buy the box of all 4 movies, but when I saw Alien³ and Resurrection, I was really dissapointed and just bought Alien and Aliens loose.

That was a dilemma for me too but I decided to buy them so I can use them as punishment for when I'm a parent.

If I ever purchase the movies on Blu-ray it will be the first two films.

I actually don't mind Alien 3. If they left the series as a trilogy it would have been fine. As for Resurrection...well... I like to pretend it doesn't exist. :P

I can agree that the series should have ended after 3 but Resurrection was just a lame excuse to squeeze out some more money from fans.

I loved Alien 3, hated Resurrection.

Alien 3 was the last decent Alien film IMO...

And the Special Edition of Alien 3 is a completely different movie, well worth a watch.

all the films are absolutely superb the first for its horror and the second for its action and the other two are just as good!!! avp not as bad but i could still enjoy them.

Seriously i don't know what the problem is alien three isnt that bad of a film, i love it. It brought something to the alien series that they didnt have. The acting in it is quite excellent. From my point of view it's the most intresting one. It shows how much people care more about the action then the characters them selfs. I'd admit it was horrid to kill off hicks.

I deleted JOELFOSTERX, that was my former account, I've heard of this new movie from rumors, it's not a sequel but a prequel to the original alien, theres gonna be two prequels & they'll be directed by ridley scott, this is possibly the best thing that could happen to the alien series

Well there are a few films that are the 3rd in the series and are pretty good, like The Good Bad & the Ugly, Return of the jedi, Rocky 3 MR.T was the best thing about Rocky 3 u gotta luv the Eye of the tiger song, but a 3rd film is hard to get right

i dont think alien 3 was that bad conpared to AVP movies.Well you can put your hopes up for the alien precuel directed by ridley scott

Face it-the first two Alien films were outstanding, so it would be hard to make further ones be as good. Alien 3, despite its flaws and shortcomings, was an okay, semi-worthy conclusion. Alien Resurrection was just a stupid money-grabbing film that shouldn't have been made. Watch the first three, skip the fourth. That's my advice.
