Eugene Gigout vormde samen met Alexandre Guilmant en Charles Marie Widor een driemanschap van grote klasse en muzikaliteit. Kijk maar eens in de geschiedenisboeken en naar divers foto's uit die tijd.
Deze Toccata is erg beroemd geworden en wordt nog steeds vaak gespeeld tijdens concerten over de hele wereld.
