JB Love Story 9

(Joe ran in and saw Lauren first. Everyone else including Rachel was in Nick's room.)

JOE: What happened?!? Is he ok? I couldn't understand my mom-

LAUREN: He's fine, when he checked his numbers they were the highest they have ever been and he was acting up a bit so you parents just brought him here to check up on him.

JOE: (Slumped down in the chair) Thank God he's ok! I was freaking out.

LAUREN: Hehe I can see...

JOE: (Gets up and starts heading to Nicks room)

LAUREN: So... How far did she make it?

JOE: (Turned around confused) Huh? What are you talking bout...

LAUREN: Megan? (Saw Joes expression) You don't know do you...

JOE: Know what? All I know is she didn't come in, I mean I get it if she hates hospitals but we could have got through it and-

LAUREN: Joe.. STOP Thats not it, *sigh* First of all Megans dad was a police officer, he knew everyone and everyone knew him. He was like our little celebrity... Well three years they noticed he had a brain tumor *sigh* and he needed surgery but this surgery was still in progress... he had a 75% chance to live but the odds were against him, Megan hasn't been within 100 yards of this place since that... People are grieving about it, and honestly I've never seen Megan this happy with you since her dad... so now you know (A tear came to her eye)

JOE: (Turned and puched the wall next to him) I didn't know any of that! Man I blew it and I was sucha jerk! (He went to Nicks room to see his parents and Frankie was asleep)

MRS.JONAS: Hey sweetie Your brothers fine and Kevin and his friend went to go get us all coffee... Sorry I sounded a little frantic on the phone... Honey are you ok? (She could tell Joe was upset)

JOE: (Told his mom everything) Mom... I don't know what to do...Help?

MRS.JONAS: Oh sweetie (Hugs him) Everything will work out

JOE: I hope so... (Walked to the side of Nicks bed, he just woke up) You ok?

NICK: Hey dude, Yeah No worries What's up with you.. you look like you just saw a ghost?

JOE: I pretty much screwed everything up with Megan... That sums it up, Oh yeah and I was a total jerk!

NICK: Dude go fix it... I'm fine here, nothings gunna change

JOE: No I don't know (Looked at his mom and she was nodding her head for him to go) Hmm... So I'll see you tomorrow?

NICK: Yup! (Gave Joe a high five)

JOE: (Ran out of the room passing Lauren) Where can I find her???

LAUREN: Theres one place she goes after she sees this place...

(Joe took a cab to a cemetery on the outskirts of the city)

- CEMETERY -

(Joe had a flower in his hand that he plucked from the someones garden and was looking for Megan. He found her talking lowly to a grave and crying)

MEGAN: Dad... *sob* I miss you *sniffle* and need you more than ever... (She saw a man's hand leaning down to place a flower in front of the grave. She rose to get out of his way) S-S-Sorry sir..I was I was......Joe...

JOE: Hey Lauren told me, he sounded like a great man

MEGAN: (She fell to the ground and contined crying hard, Joe sat down next to her and put his arm around her comforting her as she kept crying) I *sniffle* I Im sorry

JOE: It's not your fault at all.

(Joe continued to comfort Megan as she cried in front of her fathers grave, it was getting late and they just sat there. Back at the hospital Mr. Jonas brought Frankie home and Kevin walked Rachel home, Mrs. Jonas and Lauren sat in Nick's room)

MRS.JONAS: You know... you can go home. You don't have to stay

LAUREN: No I don't mind and besides I got nothing better to do

MRS. JONAS: And Megan?

LAUREN: I think shell be ok with Joe...

MRS.JONAS: Yes, I' so sorry for her, That's very rough

LAUREN: Yeah... (Looked down) It was a hard time for all of us, I'm going to get something to drink, do you want anything?

MRS.JONAS: No I'm fine, Thanks anyway (Lauren left the room) So you like her?

NICK: (Pretended to sleep) SSHH! IM SLEEPIN!

MRS.JONAS: Nicholas!

NICK: (Fake yawns) What time is it?

MRS.JONAS: You know... she's a very nice and sweet girl.

NICK: Mom! Were just friends!

MRS.JONAS: Well... I'm just saying, it's a mothers instincts!

LAUREN: (Walked in with a water) Hey sleepy head!

MRS.JONAS: I'm gonna use the bathroom, excuse me (Winks at Nick)

NICK: Yeah, hey thanks for sticking around like my so called family!

LAUREN: Haha it's fine and plus your "so called family" has enough on there plates, give em a break

NICK: Yea I guess.. Oh and sorry bout us hanging out today

LAUREN: (Sarcastically) Oh yeah! I mean who uses the "hospital" card anymore I mean you could have just said no? Haha

NICK: Hahaha! Yeah well this wasn't exactly on my schedule either

(They talked for a good hour and then Nick fell asleep so Mrs.Jonas and Lauren kept talking until the both dozed off in the chairs. Meanwhile Joe and Megan had got a cab back to their hotel, Joe walked her up to her room thinking they could talk but they didn't)
