If you are going to buy the cartridge instead of the continuous ink system this is by far the best one!

If the print volume is high, the CIS will save a lot of time because the cartridges does not have to be refilled. The external tank keeps the cartridges full. If you are willing to refill the cartridges yourself, you will reduce printing cost to 1/8th of the original cartridges.

Epson R1900 and R2880 are made not to accept auto reset chip ( ARC). All 3rd party chips made for these two printers will reset manually by lifting the cartridge and reseating it. when the software ink level is low. The software will say the cartridge needs to be replaced, this is the time to reset the chip and also time to refill the cartridge.

R1900 if just refil the ink, and the chips never get reset. also if refill the ink, will get printing line always.

You'll find the filling much easier if you use a mini-vice to hold the cartridges which clamps to your desk, available at a well known internet auction site.

Do you have refillables for the Epson RX595?  I tried some pre-filled cartridges from an E-bay vendor and the printer doesn't like 'em - says "Cartridge not recognized."
