QUE?????? Bloomberg speaks spanish.

(9-1-11 update) In the past couple of days Bloomberg has shown to have a sense of humor and knows how to take a joke ( TO MY SURPRISE). I have to give it to him, even though sometimes he catches me off guard while I'm eating and make me choke on my food from laughter, or cracks me up until I pee pee in my shorts, he's very considerate by "summarizing" what he wants to say. To find such a noble and honorable characteristics in a politician is very refreshing and encouraging. Especially Bloomberg who is not only Mayor of our great city but who is also a businessman and a kazilionaire. His name can now be added to other great names of noble and honorable men such as Ricky Ricardo, Frank Purdue and George W Bush. I admire his effort, to speak Spanish, as bad as it sounds. Yes, it does show how he cares enough to try to communicate with his fellow Spanish-speaking New Yorkers. If anything, as a politician, he supports the idea of Immigration, to allow minorities to come to America. He understands this country was built by immigrants.

It's amazing that the mayor took the time to learn Spanish to be able to speak directly to his Latino constituents. Now i may not agree with Bloomberg on much, but this shows he genuinely cares about his job and the people he serves. Kudos to him!

First people complain that Americans, specifically politicians don't spend enough time immersing and integrating with other cultures, and they're stupid for it. Then people complain that they're not doing it right. This is WHY they don't integrate. Seriously, fuck you guys.

@dalifer anyone who tries to learn another language is showing respect or at least awareness for another culture. I personally am native english, and have been struggling to learn spanish the last two years, it's not easy.. just because you've been blessed to be bilingual from childhood, doesn't give you the right to mock someone. I hear plenty of latinos struggling to learn english, and I don't laugh at them on the street.. I respect anyone who tries, and I don't see why anyone else wouldn't..
