To the people who claim this is an unfiar view of the Onthank area, I disagree. I live about half an hour from the place The Scheme was filmed , and this is the most accurate portrayal of life in East Ayrshire I have seen in any sort of media. The reason the "nice law-abiding" people of Onthank are up in arms is simply because it is now being publicised. Maybe this should be used as a means to understand and quash this impoverished way of life, rather than simply pretending it doesn't exist

@PureJockPureBrit Our local primary schools have sports days every year and kids take part in interschool competition and love it. Depends on the area I'm sure but PE is still part and parcel of the school curriculum.

There is definately a place for chemical castration IMO. These people really shouldn't be allowed to breed. I'd dock their benefits and put a stop to the methadone programme in a heartbeat. These houses are perfectly decent, it's ill educated morons that turn respectable housing estates into slums. My aunt lives in Kilmarnock and it breaks her heart to see how some areas have become since she first moved there in the early 50s.
