From Saturday 12 December 2009, Dewsbury freetownbus provides free travel between key locations around Dewsbury town centre.
Dewsbury freetownbus runs every ten minutes from 7.30am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday, and on Saturdays from 8.30am to 5pm.
It links key locations around the town centre including the bus and rail stations, the markets, retail park, minster and health centre.
2 new stops have been put in, in centre of town, at stupid locations, which will cause tailbacks, especially on saturdays. The chap who says "we'll be able to get over to Sainsburys and those shops", you can before this starts, there's a FREE Sainsbury's bus from the bus station, and has been for quite a number of years!! In fact, try this idea to boost passengers, ALL the normal service buses, to pick up at bus station, and next pick up stop at the ring road, the free bus brings them there!
