High power 808nm laser

A coherent 808nm laser bar burning though wood with an unfocused beam! If this beam was focused into a point with correct optics it would be much stronger.

The cooling system is a CPU cooler modified to do keep the GaAS diode happy as it consumes over 120 watts of power.

where do I start? how to make it portable? what kind of armour is needed if my neighbour already has one? have you tried opening portals with it? always remember to wear a solidly built tin foil hat when operating devices such as these.

Its a thermal take kit...an ape could assemble that.

The Laser PSU is much harder to make.
