What is happening when you get the channel number instead of the name of the channels. I had a problem with the receiver screen blanking and no picture on the TV. Now that the receiver is working again my channel names are gone.

I love the Mercury II receiver and it works great with my dish. I received it as part of a package when purchasing my dish system. I will do the same when purchasing my C band system.

I have the same receiver which came with the Fortec Star 80cm dish and DG-240 motor. At first I would only get the same 5 stations on every satellite I found. Once I was able to get many stations like the ones from the dish you are using. I didn't know how to delete the scrambled channels I got accidently so I erased them all and now can't get those channels back. I'm back to the same 5 channels using the technique you explained.
