huh?

Not bad, sometimes this kind of things happen, that's all. He flared a bit too much or some wind gust came right on time.

@md11pilot11 Why not? I´ve been a passenger many times and I loved it. A wide body like the 747 only 3 engines. By the way, the plane can be flown only with asimetric thrust in case you lose hydraulics. Do that in a Jumbo...

md11s are still flown around the world with klm still operating 10 as passenger and all the others are cargo. compared to a lot of planes they are very safe. there is no problem with the md11. the md11 just wasn't a good passenger plane. they are one of the best cargo planes flying right now. fedex is using there 777s to replace the MD10s but they have about 64 md11a and not retiring any because of its extremely high takeoff weight capability

every time the md11 lands it bounces you can never have a perfect landing

@BakerSkateboarding98 Fedex and UPS still run the Md11's

i thought md11 and dc10s weren't allowed is the U.S.? i mean you barley or never see them

I've talked to FedEx pilots and McDonald Douglas engineers, I used to service their cars from the president on down, and they said that when landing an MD-11 that you do it like you are landing on an aircraft carrier. Pick a spot on the deck and don't flair it. Otherwise you can get it bouncing.

Ground Effect?

My company does a lot of UPS shipment. Our account rep told me the pilots hate flying the MD11 for exactly this reason.
yes it is normal...its just the video description so people can find it if they are looking for it!
