Yes MARSHAL sound is beautiful
but for me the best was HILTON JEFFERSON (lead sax in the CAB CALLOWAY BAND)

Marshal whith Basie and Johnny Hodges whith Duke really knew how to lead the saxsection and when the oppertunity arised just stepped forward and played a melody whith such grace. Adding just a few extra phrases whith finesse, they said it all.Bliss!
