Listen-watch this+other videos Search Dixieland Jazz Bands online Find parade-2&4 beat feels SwingOutChorus w/backbeat on 2-4 + embellish Not rock-don't lock in on the 2&4 Feather the BD on quarter notes+embellish Bebop implements busier BD accenting off snare - in Dixieland you don't need this ... keep it simple&musical The more you listen you will hear & feel the 2 & 4 beat sections The rhythm section (piano, bass, guitar, banjo) should also hear and feel these sections all together Have FUN
