You might call them crazy, but 8 drivers from as far away as Germany had their tiny "micro cars" shipped to Los Angeles so they could make a 2-week trip along historic Route 66. They're heading to Chicago for an international micro car rally. (Aug 20)

saw them all at crystal lake, shipping cars from germany to california, then driving them 2000+ miles, and i was bitchin about the 1-1/2 hour drive in 90F to get there, in my ultra modern smart... i'm considering a seattle to boston economy run in my smart, after i install cruise control...
