A Chalk's Ocean Airways Grumman G-73T Turbo Mallard plunges into the ocean. The aircraft, on a flight to Bimini North Seaplane Base in the Bahamas, crashed shortly after takeoff from the Miami Seaplane Base. Amateur video showed the aircraft plunging into the Atlantic Ocean just off the Florida coast with the right wing separated and flaming fuel streaming away. The airplane crashed into the sea and came to rest in about 35 feet of water. Preliminary investigation showed a large fatigue crack in the right wing spar.

Note: this video originally had a fairly disrespectful title. I took this account over from a friend and changed it. I also deleted comments referencing the old title in order to get a fresh start. Condolences to anyone who was involved with this accident.
