This week in Jobster my guest is Jasmina Saric, director of educational programs in Prodirekt, telling us about the internship opportunities in this Belgrade company. Sanja: Prodirekt is a company dealing with education and consulting. What has made you decide to start creating language programs?
Jasmina: Prodirekt has more than a decade of experience in creating and implementing training programs for middle managers and executives. Business people simply can't escape communicating in a foreign language no matter what line of work they are in, and what with the fact that we don't need visas to travel abroad any more, the idea to develop language programs more ambitiously seemed the logical next step.
Sanja: While we were talking about language programs a bit earlier, I must admit I was intrigued by your story of the of Verbalists -- tell us what Verbalists are actually?
Jasmina: Verbalists are a brand of Prodirekt, created for improving language and communication skills. They're intended for all of us who like languages. Our goal is to offer a unique language consulting concept to young adults and professionals: from the initial testing of the language level and defining the target level to designing the actual program. We all learn a language for different reasons, and we improve our language skills in different ways; therefore, one language program simply cannot be equally good for everyone. When we decide to start learning a language, we're all plagued with the same questions: "How long will it take?", "Which course is best for me?", "There are so many schools, which one should I choose?", "How much is it going to cost?"... We believe our 18-year long experience in management training, HR, as well as expertise in language education are a great asset in providing this kind of service, compared with a travel agency, for instance.
Sanja: Do Verbalists offer only English language programs? You've just mentioned communication skills.
Jasmina: Verbalists have created programs for improving 6 world languages -- English, German, Spanish, French, Russian and Italian, but we also offer communication skills programs. Prodirekt is a certified representative and partner of prestigious colleges and language schools in world renowned university centres such as Oxford, Cambridge, Berlin and Paris. In fact, it was the cooperation with these reputable schools which led to launching Verbalists as a regional social network, one of its kind in Southeast Europe.

Jasmina: First and foremost, we're looking for a communication and language lover, someone who is fluent in English; not necessarily a teacher of English, nor a language student. The important thing for the applicant is to be Internet and electronic media savvy, a true "verbalist" -- not just in spoken communication but in social networks such as Facebook and YouTube as well.
