1999 Modified Volvo S80 2.9 Custom Sport dual exhaust

My daily driver volvo (I got tired of turning over the motor and hearing nothing): custom 2.5" inch mandrel bent exhaust with single magnaflow glasspack going out a y pipe to 2 dual tips. Both resonators and mufflers removed. A volvo inline 6 sure sounds sexy :).

Did you remove the two resonators and the muffler? that is everything behind the cat?

Yes I had all that removed. In it's place is just a single glasspack muffler going out to a y tube, making the exhaust dual. After having it on for almost a year and a half now, I really regret I did it. I lost my all my low end pickup and the drone in the car is terrible at all speeds. Don't do it.

And once I get the electrical system fixed, I might be selling. This is a really clean car. Over 2k invested in the sound system, 18" Voxx MG wheels...tinted windows & tails. Really great car all in all. Except for the electrical problems

just as an update...my electrical system is having serious trouble after hitting 135,000 miles on the car and I'm not driving it at the moment. Have had the car diagnosed twice now and I keep getting a mystery draw from somewhere that's preventing the car from charging. I miss Helga :(

It was a universal fit muffler. So yes the magnaflow glasspack would fit your car.

have the same problem found out that i have a short to ground on the driver door light. I just unplugged the light and it fixed the problem.

why did it die? I want to buy a 2.9 so I need to know what problems they have.

Hah, awesome... I'm about 4 hours away from trading in my Pontiac Solstice on a 2000 Volvo S80 with extremely low miles. So comments like this definitely make me feel good about buying a 1999-2006 Volvo S80.

Can't wait for it to rott in my back yard too. Thankfully I have a good reliable low mileage Crown Victoria to get me around while the Volvo doesn't run. Maybe I should rethink this?
