God she was great looking back in her day, willing to bet she was one hell of a romp in the sack.

I'm not much of a country fan, but I can recognize talent when I see and hear it. Larry Collins was incredible. I haven't seen anything like him in at least the past 25 years. He came from an era where there wasn't studio gadgetry to make a bad singer sound ok. If he had shown up in 1990, he would have blown the charts. The current crop of manufactured idols aren't even close in talent, personality or stage presence. I'm in awe of the kid, absolute awe.

Lorrie Collins rocks as an adult performer - she's great! Larry still sounds great.

@bearriver666: The back story aside, Lorrie and Larry Collins were the real deal. I play myself, and Larry's playing was very advanced. This is proven by Larry's recordings with country guitar legend Joe Maphis. Lorrie should have been a star, but in those days, a gal couldn't sing rock and roll and get away with it. They were certainly more credible than some of the teen idol acts like Fabian or Frankie Avalon that came later.

Larry Collins was BEYOND talented. He was a guitar genius who influenced a generation of greats like Chuck Berry and Les Paul. Check the dates!

Before Ranch Party, which was filmed at the Art Linkletter Theater without an audience (crowd shots were added latter), and during the year or so this syndicated series was being filmed, the Collins Kids appeared on Town Hall Party. THP was held at the Town Hall Ballroom in Compton. Calif. You can see a lot of that material here on YouTube. There started on THP in February 1954. Note the we were pre Elvis comment in the clip. THP was actually a dance, and the Ballroom could hold 3,000 people.

its a cut from the documentation 'Woman of Rockabilly'
I've never seen Ranch Party Collins Kids clips in a high picture quality like this. Does anyone know who owns this material and if it's for sale on DVD? I mean, not the documentary, but the Collins Kids Ranch Party clips in this high quality.
A Ranch Party DVD with Collins Kids stuff is published by Stomper Time Records, but they used another, lower quality source.

@iTubeNL The high-quality stuff is hard to come by. Some private collectors might have the films of the shows. But, I'm relatively certain that for the right price, the "Screen Gems" syndicated TV service (or whomever controls their archived material) will sell you particular episodes of Ranch Party. It won't be cheap, and you probably need to be a professional broadcaster or filmmaker. We can only hope that a quality DVD re-issuer like "Shout Factory" will come out with a "Best of Ranch Party."

Always thought they were much ado about nothing , manufactured to appeal to teens .
'Sweet little Lorrie ' as a home wrecker is interesting .lol

@bearriver666 Sorry you feel that way... I think Larry does have a lot of talent on the guitar... and Lorrie's singing is well above-average. They were innovators... and a lot more talented than the teen stars of today (Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, etc, etc).
