They are NOT War!!! Lonnie stole the name from the original members who are ALL still together as the LOWRIDER BAND. THEY still sound as awesome as they did in the beginning. This fraudulent group makes me very sad.

@lifesizebarbie13 Lonnie was not the only member that left the band. Howard Scott was in the band until after the Peace Sign album, but Harold stayed in the band and shortly departed a year later.

@chico213 Actually, what happened was that their former producer/manager Jerry Goldstein trademarked the War name behind their backs. Lonnie's just an employee.

don't panic. this is not really war. the original members go by the name LOWRIDER BAND. They are excellent and captures the true spirit and soul of WAR

@lifesizebarbie13,The bad feelings are toward original WAR's producer, Jerry Goldstein. Instead of sticking by the band he "helped" produce, he HELPED himself to the WAR name and copywrites. Unfortunately, Lonnie was the only surviving WAR member that SOLD OUT to this THIEF. Since Jerry Goldstein has 1 original WAR member to do his bidding, his WAR cover band gets away with all the WAR credit and money, while the 4 WAR OG's of THE LOWRIDER BAND are forgotten for ALL THEIR WAR MUSIC. SO WRONG!

I don't understand all the bad feelings.......Lonnie has been with the band since 1969....and he is the only member that never left the band. Sal has been with the band since 1990.....Fernando since 1996, Marcos since 1998, Stuart since 2002, Francisco since 2003 Most bands have personnel changes members come and go. I really enjoy, that Lonnie has kept the music alive since 69!!!!
