  • So simple, so beautiful this song should have won the Oscar but didnt..& Betty Hutton is so unappreciatted..what a talent ! She sang mostly zany. upbeat songs but look what she could to a ballad like: I Wish I Didnt Love You So ...beautiful.. could make you love ad cpould bring you to tears as well... Miss you Betty you were one of the best!!!

  • I disagree. I think she is a great interpreter of lyrics. She brings goosebumps. She's not the best technical singer but I think being able to put real feeling into a song is much harder to come by than relative pitch.

  • betty puts so much raw emotion in this song it touches your heart. thank-you tube for helping me rediscover betty hutton who was always a favorite of mine!

  • Sounds like she is right next to you, I love this woman!

  • story. of. my. life.

  • Just proves that back then you actually had to be a good singer instead of just using auto-tune.

  • She did it the best

  • what a voice. no one compares to her today.

  • How beautiful is this?

  • Every time I hear Betty sing this song, she breaks my heart. Her performance of the number in the delightful PERILS OF PAULINE is just perfect.

  • She had a beautiful and soulful voice (her ballads)

  • An old-time favorite of mine!
