Quillspike Combo

One of my favorite combos in MTG. Only requires Quillspike, Devoted Druid, and Rite of Consumption (all common/uncommon cards).

Wait a sec.

If I put a counter on Devoted Druid, he'll become -1/1. And if I removed the counter from DD using Quillspike's ability, does DD's power/toughness goes BACK to 0/2 again ?

Yeah, it'll go go back to 0/2 once the counter is removed.

I wouldn't believe so, seeing as how the persist creature enters play with the -1/-1 counter on it, instead of coming into play and then having the counter placed on it.

What happens if one of creatures has persist and u have flourishing defenses in play? If it comes back in play because of it's persist ability, will u get a 1/1 Elf?

Flourishing Defenses makes this combo even better. Gives you a 1/1 Green Elf token every time a -1/-1 Counter comes into play.

good combo, i run this in my all black type 2 deck.
