zidane # 1 for ever, before maradona and pele, I'm 57 years old, I've been watching soccer for up to 45 yrs, Zidane is the best for ever. played for the best two teams ever juventus and real madrid and was simply the best there. lead france to be the best team in the last 10 years without competion.

Rushgeddylee, Zidane played for bordeaux (a very week team) and brought them to the final of the UEFA cup where they lost to Bayern Munich.

Mounieco, maradona played for napoli(a very weak team) in italy where the best footballers are. the best defenders, midfielders, and forwards are. france, dont get me wrong, do havbe amazing players, there is a reason why france has so many good players. but france isnt the same in level. i'm not trying to create an arguement, i'm just giving my opinion on the subject

maradona and pele both played for weaker teams. santos and napoli. maradona didnt win much, but he proved in italy that he was the best. pele unfortunatley didnt go to europe. there he would've been tested. zidane one many things because he played in stronger teams obviously. if he had played for a weaker team, then there would be a stronger arguement.

maradona is a playmaker. messi is a winger. zidane is a playmaker. maradona wasnt greddy. zidane wasnt greedy. messi is greedy but is learning not to be. maradona, like i said before, is a great role model for kids because he is an example of a player someone wants to play like or play better, and someone you shouldnt be. zidane is also one of the best role models ever. another great role model is garrincha or cruyff. maradona was the biggest heart in soccer for napoli biggerthanrealmadridszidan

maradona did use drugs, but not for playing. and in 1994 he didnt use any game enhancing drugs to make his game better. the drug he was positive for is a drug that's legal in the USA but it gave the FIFA a reason to kick him out of the world cup for good. he did use durgs but not for playing so dont use that as an excuse
