Minecraft Transportation System

A look at my prototype mincraft transportation system, complete with interactive map, route choosing, and carts that arrive on demand.

Sorry about the lack of audio and laggy vid quality, PC is dying and minecraft is about the only thing I can do on it.

@fashnek If you fancy downloading it I have no problem sticking it in my dropbox for all to look at. Bear in mind though, I'm currently using that save to build a world for smp, so theres more stuff in there than the minecart system. It would be interesting to get your feedback on that too actually. I'll pm you the link.

I'm VERY impressed! I would check out the behind the scenes, but it might give me a headache with the red dust circuits. I saw them on the minepedia and was like "derp... D:" Anyway, great video, impressive system, and VERY nice cave there!

Also, I once tried to make an underground castle, but 20 or so pickaxes later, I was attacked by the slime glitch (I... play on peaceful because I don't like dying and creepers nearly scarred me for life o.o) and rage deleted the map. Now I'm hollowing out some mountains ^_^ I just wish I had patience for it XD

@itachi4492 I have to admit, I do tend to cheat slightly with pickaxes; using NBTedit to set it to a negative damage lvl so it lasts for ages. If I didn't I wouls spend most my time making pickaxes and little else.

I can't figure out how to make a successful track switcher with redstone. but, my transit system is far to large to accommodate a redstone system. My hope is that there will be enough stations to make any part of my world accessible in a matter of minutes instead of a matter of days. It works off a node system, where each station has tracks branching off it that connect to other stations, primarily in the cardinal directions. Each "node" is connected to a minor base for safety and storage.
