I found that taking changing the colour overlay to pretty much white makes it look like real water ^^ since no water is really blue ;p

Adding Displace effect (Distort > Displace) adds some realistic-ness to it too.

Thanks a lot for this tutorial. Probably the best so far that I have found on creating pond ripples. Simple and effective.
