Geraldine Page was a national Treasure, especially to lovers of the theater. One of the
greatest American actresses who ever lived (especially on the legitimate stage.) Wish she
would have lived to a really ripe old age so younger generations could have enjoyed her
work(on stage and screen.) Very well-deserved and long overdue Oscar win here.

@bradley583 I agree this is one of the best of the 1980's, not to be missed. Miss Page was remarkable, in maybe one of the greatest performances ever captured on film. She most mightily deserved her Oscar.

I thought this would be an average, uninteresting film... But it turned out to be beautifully written, directed and acted by all who were involved... Geraldine Page was simply flawless and deserved her Oscar win... and the music to it, wow.. Don't miss this little gem!

This is an awesome story and movie. Geraldine Page was amazing!
The "twins" in the back of Geraldine Page in the yellow suits at the bus station are Geraldine Page's actual sons.
