  • Hi Lisa, I just left you a comment on your May 2009 intro to Thesis video but I have no clue where the comment went. In any case, I'm a complete newbie when it comes to creating websites but your videos sold me entirely on why getting Thesis is one of the best decisions one could ever make. I just purchased the full unlimited version yesterday through your affiliate link and I've been busy creating my workout blog since then. Loving this, Lisa - Many thanks.

  • @kodjoworkout Cool, thanks so much! Happy workouts. :)

  • Thanks for posting this vid. I have been considering getting Thesis and you may have made my decisions easier. Now, I just need to learn some PHP and CSS...

  • @jakelacaze CSS maybe, but no need to learn PHP to use Thesis.

  • Hi Lisa I've been doing a lot of research on affiliate marketing, and I appreciate your honesty and sincerity. Quick questions. It looks like you used WordPress for the new site. Are you still using Site Sell or site builder or do you use it or just sell it. Also if a person has a website but wants to use site sell how does that work. Also just wanted to say the new site is real cute and I commend you for taking the natural challenge, but I just think I can retain my naps :0) LOL

  • @busngilr09 I use WordPress for my new hair site but I still use Site Build It! for flat-stomach-exercises. If you want to use SiteSell you can transfer your domain over to them for free once you are a customer. They walk you through the process.

  • FOR EVERYONES ATTENTION :)

If you cant afford Thesis then there is an alternative called Suffusion. Its free and does all what Thesis does without the price tag. Hope that helps :)

Before playing with the css, I would recommend creating what is called a 'child theme'. This allows you to edit the css and make whatever changes you like without making a mess of the original theme. It also saves you the hassle to re-entering your settings and code everytime there is an upgrade. There is a Firefox addon called Firebug that lets you look at the html and css of a website and change it in realtime.

  • hello, i'm working on my sisters blog and she has no knowledge of html or css. fortunate for her i do. she's running wp 3.0 and thesis 1.8. She solicited my help of course i agreed. i need to know where i can edit the html code so i can remove certain non css features. can anyone help? thanks so much

  • I am using 1.8 now. The "Home" link does not show up on the nav menu whenever I select to use the "WP nav menu". It ("home") shows up when I use Thesis nav menu, BUT, the pull down menu function dos not work with Thesis nav. Which one do I select to have both "home" and pull down menu? Thanks~

  • thank you sooooo much! luv u luv u luv u just plain luv u! truly appreciate this.

  • Hey Lisa,

I'm still running Thesis 1.7 and really do not want to upgrade right now. I was wondering if you knew of a good plugin or any other way to add custom links to my navigation bar. I have tried all ways I know of like adding "links" and "link categories" but I'd like it to be a drop down menu. I only ask you because you say you're pretty decent with html/css. Thanks. Oh and I love your site and tutorials.
