While it is odd that the remote appears to be that cheap IR remote that you can buy from Walmart... I find it even odder that Eastern Washington University doesn't actually appear to offer a graduate degree of any kind in engineering... FAIL!

1st That remote is infer-red, I actually have the exact one.
2nd If one code were to do that when ever I press the wrong button all the cars would go off in the parking lot, and not only mine
3rd The biggest! If you press the alarm button how do you turn it off? By pressing it again of coarse. They pressed it multiple times.
