Huh? Windows is easy to install (and so is ubuntu) although ubuntu is a lot more entertaining as you can browse the web etc

nice music! I should be getting my linux CD so I can install it. Windows is quite a pain to install. But right now I have Dual boot with Windows Vista, and XP. But i look forward to dual booting Windows vista, and linux

I had onboard sound card(AC 97) and there wasn't any need for installing board drivers(which include sound drivers). Last week I bought Audigy and it worked from the start. I also know a friend that uses Ubuntu and is an owner of a Sound Blaster Live and it works ok. Your experience with linux must be specific.
But based on what you are saying you haven't even use it. To install applications you only need three clicks in a package manager.

What should the partition sizes be?
If I have two separate hard drives do I need to make partitions?

That would depend on your hard drive size and how much you would like to devote to Linux :)
